Sashihitlu beach is a beautiful and is located in Sashihitlu village about 22 km away from Mangalore. The beach has silky white sand adorning it and the blue sea makes it a picturesque sight. It is in close proximity to NITK Surathkal. Sashihitlu beach is 6 km from NITK on NH 66. Munda island is surrounded by Shambavi and Nandini rivers on one side and the Arabian Sea on the other, making this a lovely location. The beach is the convergence point of the confluence of two rivers with the Arabian Sea. These rivulets flowing into the beach, beautiful coconut tree lined coastline, pristine blue waters, white sand, and lack of crowds make this beach an out-of-this-world experience.

This place is not crowded except for a few occasions when Surfing competitions are held here. Sashihitlu beach plays host to many surfing events and competitions. Otherwise, you can only see some fishermen doing their work. It is noise free and offers a soothing experience from the sound of waves. It is recommended to arrange your own transport and not rely on public transport, as this beach is 4 km from the highway. It offers great opportunities for photography.
